Be Very Careful With Your Vote! See What Is Happening In Karnataka With Churches And Christians Being Attacked!

I stand corrected today. I have realized how valuable my vote really is and will be sure to vote and vote very carefully henceforth. I can only urge you my fellow Christians, Indians, and Countrymen, to be very careful with your vote. Please do not waste your vote or even take for granted about casting your vote without careful deliberation. I can only draw your attention to what is happening in the state of Karnataka with churches and Christians being attacked within 6 months of a certain party coming to power in south India for the very first time. Such attacks have been a common occurrence in India for a while now, but this is the first time it has hit home so close to me. Guess I needed something like this to wake me up. Imagine such attacks on churches and Christians in your own state if you are not from Karnataka and also not from a state where such events have taken place. Imagine if you, your family, and your house are attacked because you are a Christian. What if it spreads to another community or another religion too especially since they are a minority? You might say that will never happen, but then I am sure none of us thought churches and Christians in Karnataka would be attacked. But it is happening right now and nobody seems to be doing anything to stop it. In such a scenario it is only a matter of time before it happens to you too. It’s so vitally important that you think carefully, pray and seek the Lord the next time an opportunity to cast your vote comes around and YOU DO THE RIGHT THING.

It's a very disturbing thing right now in Karnataka. I am sure every secular minded human being is against what's happening here. I don't know why people are becoming religious fanatics in an era where science and technology is ruling the world!

By birth I am called a Hindu and that's filled in some government forms as well… But I am against any of these kind of religious fanaticism. As you rightly said, if ppl are using their franchises carefully, such things may not happen in the future.

You are a very dear pal Ajith. No offense meant to anybody or any community or group in particular. Just mentioning what I have observed happening in South India of late…

BTW great list with your 10 things that rub your blog visitors the wrong way. I aim to implement them!
